Dash Beardsley the Ghost Man of Galveston Started Ghost Tours of Galveston Island in 1997!
He saw the apparition of Miss Bettie Brown standing in the window of Ashton Villa and when he looked back for a second look she was gone and he was determined to learn about the ghosts of Galveston! He compiled stories of Ghost sightings, researched the history of the Island, and created the Original Strand Tour which is a compilation of stories that take place over the span of 100 years.
It did not take long for Dash to realize he had enough stories to create more tours and so he did up next was the Restless Spirits tour which is a little more sinister and is intended for mature audiences. Then he created the Secret Society Cemetery Tour. Dash Beardsley guided tours for over 20 years and over that time he had many tour guides work under him. Some of those former tour guides developed a passion for the history of the island and have become published authors in their own right. A few of them that you might have heard of are Kathleen Maca, Kimber Fountain, & James Anderson. Dash is very proud of each of them. He is honored to have been a part of their journey.
Dash retired from giving tours a couple of years ago, he sold the business to Spooky Gin another former tour guide who got her start working for Dash nearly ten years ago. Join Spooky Galveston for the Best Ghost Tours in Galveston.
